As 2011 reaches its finale this evening, I would like to wish my followers a Happy New Year and all the best for 2012. My style icons for the year all have individuality with their own unique sense of style. My style icons in no particular order are:-
For my final New Year's Eve outfit I have chosen to go for the understated look with skinny jeans and a pretty top. I love these skinny jeans, now on sale at All Saints, which are perfect for the evening because of the shine finish to them. They can be dressed up for the evening or dressed down for the day. I have posted three of my favourite tops - the look can be completed with the velveteen blazer from Zara and the right accessory.
Why not go for a striking red dress on New Year's Eve? There's something very alluring about red dresses and to me red is the sexiest of all colours. This photo of American actress Olivia Wilde seen wearing a long red dress looks stunning. I have selected four of my favourites from the high street. These dresses can be accessorised with gold or silver accessories.
You can never go wrong with the classic black dress for New Year's Eve. I have chosen this number from Oasis, which looks very elegant on. The embellished detail on the shoulders means accessories can be kept simple so I have picked a stunning cuff from Coast.
Here is my choice for my second New Year's Eve outfit - a slightly more edgy look. The black metallic t-shirt can be worn with either the All Saints or Topshop skirts. The Debenhams cocktail ring matches nicely with the All Saints skirt, while the ring and skirt from Topshop would look just fab together.
New Year's Eve is only a couple nights away and it's always hard to find something to wear on the special evening. Over the next few days Love London Style willpost different outfits to help you ladies with ideas. Here is my NYE outfit number 1, the dress is from Ted Baker's new collection. Navy always looks striking with gold accessories.
Looking back at 2011, this year has been one amazing year for The Duchess of Cambridge. Kate Middleton's style has evolved from conservative to chic and now the fashion industry is following her every style move. What is it about Kate's style? One thing is for sure her play it safe style has won me over and I love it. I also admire her love for High Street fashion. To create her style I have picked some elegant pieces from a few of her favourite stores.
Who better to kick start the Harrods Winter Sale than Florence Welch? She was pictured this morning opening the Harrods sale wearing Chanel - love the ring Florence.
I clicked this picture a few weeks ago and the funny thing is I was wearing my printed scarf from Reiss which has I have posted. Printed accessories will be a key trend for 2012 especially floral prints.
British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was seen on Christmas Eve and really liked her style- neutral tones, especially on the leather jacket complimented with the scarf.
Ladies, it's that time of year to go find a bargain and hit the sales. I have to admit more often than not by the time I get to the stores there's not much left. I have selected my favourites where there are sizes available online. I also like to get bargains in the sale where I know I can wear the items in the following year - classics that will stay on trend. Lace and floral prints will be around in 2012. Here is my selection and one item I have purchased online is the Monsoon dress.
