There's no doubt about how elegant and feminine lace can look on a woman. Lace was a major trend for Spring 2011. So will it be a trend once again in 2012? And what can we expect this time around? From looking at the latest collections, I predict the trend to continue this Spring, defined by flirty and romantic styles. Apart from the Zara dress, which is from their new collection, other high street stores have opted for lighter colourful tones. While posting the pink lace skirt from River Island, I was having flash-backs from the 80's film - Pretty in Pink, where Molly Ringwald designed her own dress with pink lace material. I remember thinking "I love that dress and want to make one myself".

The Girl With The Classic Look
Another classic look for actress Rooney Mara, who is currently promoting her latest film - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. She was pictured on tour in Paris wearing this LBD, and she kept her look chic with minimal accessories and deep red lipstick.
Spring Fashion Trends - Spot Crazy
This classic trend will be around for Spring 2012 and it is definitely evident on the high street at the moment. Actress Olivia Wilde was pictured on New Year's Day in New York supporting the spot trend. I have taken some lovely pieces from the high streets' spring collections. One of my favourites is the fitted kimono dress from Reiss's new collection which has a hint of silver spots.

Spring Fashion Trend - The Roaring Twenties
1920's fashion is making a return for Spring 2012, and I for one can't wait, because this is the decade when fashion entered the modern era. Although dubbed the 'Roaring Twenties', it wasn't until 1925 that the public started to passionately embrace the styles that were to define the era. The social changes in this era gave birth to a new type of woman, the flapper, and the extravagant fashions she wore. This decade was an exciting time for young stylish women, and the fashions of the 'Jazz Age' will make a big comeback in 2012. The Great Gatsby, set to be released in December, should follow the success of the American series Boardwalk Empire in bringing the styles of this exciting era to a modern audiences of bright, fashion-conscious young women.
So what can we expect on the High Street? Drop waist and flapper dresses with beading and fringing, art deco clothing and flapper headbands. Drop waist dresses have started emerging on the high street for the Spring collections - keep an eye out for more 1920's fashion.

Bye Bye 2011, Welcome to 2012 Fashion Trends
Welcome to 2012 Love London Style followers. It's going to be a great year for London with the staging of the Olympics this summer, so what trends can we expect to hit the high street in the Spring? Today I will focus on the statement print trend and throughout the week I will bring you a taster of what to expect in 2012.
Print Goes Big
Print goes big this Spring - brighter, bolder and totally tropical. Animal prints, especially bird prints, will hit the high street and floral print will follow through to 2012. Make a statement this Spring by wearing mismatched print. It's all about prints - anything from aquatic to tribal. I have selected my favourite pieces from the high street stores' new Spring collection.
