Spring Fashion Trend - The Roaring Twenties

1920's fashion is making a return for Spring 2012, and I for one can't wait, because this is the decade when fashion entered the modern era. Although dubbed the 'Roaring Twenties', it wasn't until 1925 that the public started to passionately embrace the styles that were to define the era.  The social changes in this era gave birth to a new type of woman, the flapper, and the extravagant fashions she wore. This decade was an exciting time for young stylish women, and the fashions of the 'Jazz Age' will make a big comeback in 2012. The Great Gatsby, set to be released in December, should follow the success of the American series Boardwalk Empire in bringing the styles of this exciting era to a modern audiences of bright, fashion-conscious young women.

So what can we expect on the High Street? Drop waist and flapper dresses with beading and fringing, art deco clothing and flapper headbands. Drop waist dresses have started emerging on the high street for the Spring collections - keep an eye out for more 1920's fashion.
