Chinos - Day and Night
Chino trousers are now on the high street for Spring and I always find it quite difficult to style them. The key to styling these casual trousers for petite ladies like myself is to always go for slim fitting chinos. Otherwise, they can all too easily end up looking baggy, and could even make you look like you're wearing harem pants! I was looking at two different colours - a navy pair from Topshop and a tobacco pair from Reiss. I want to create a day look with the Topshop ones and style the Reiss pair for the evening. Both trousers are slim fitting, so don't worry about looking like MC Hammer!
For the day look, the chinos should be styled with a relaxed feel, so I have chosen a nautical top from Warehouse. The tanned flat pumps contrast nicely and are from Oasis. You could also try wearing wedges instead of flat pumps in order to lengthen your legs.
In the evening, the tobacco pair of chinos from Reiss will go perfectly with a blush top from Oasis and a blazer from Zara to give a tailored look. The snakeskin court shoes from Reiss give the finishing touch to my look.
